My love for fashion began with formal training at Palomar College’s fashion design program, where I was fortunate to learn from incredible mentors. After completing my studies, I gained hands-on experience working in haute couture alterations, refining my technical skills in tailoring and garment construction.

As a queer Latina woman who grew up in a humble household, I understand firsthand how access to fashion services can feel out of reach. That’s why I started Thread Mechanix—to make alterations, repairs, and personal styling more accessible while helping reduce clothing waste. Too often, people think only the wealthy can afford custom tailoring or a personal stylist, but I believe that everyone deserves to feel good in their clothes. Through creative problem-solving, flexible pricing, and, in rare cases, fair barter arrangements, I aim to bring quality craftsmanship within reach.

In addition to expert alterations, I specialize in menswear styling and am expanding my services to support non-binary, trans, and women clients in finding a style that truly represents them. My closet cleanout service helps clients rethink their wardrobes, determining which pieces can be repaired or repurposed rather than discarded. I take an individualized approach, asking thoughtful questions to understand personal style goals and guiding my clients toward a wardrobe that aligns with their identity and lifestyle.

Fashion shouldn’t be about rigid rules—it should be about creativity, expression, and confidence. My favorite moments are when I see my clients light up with self-assurance, knowing they look and feel their best. My goal is to build long-term relationships, styling regular clients for seasonal wardrobe updates and special occasions, from everyday wear to milestone events like weddings.
